Need an indulgent protein balls recipe?
Look no further. What could be better than a healthy snack recipe - that tastes all fruity and chocolatey! No guilt - just pleasure. And these no-bake protein balls are super easy to make!
Recently, Mr Mean started on quite a hefty commute to his new job. He finishes around 5pm - but then he's got to drive for nearly two hours. This is the time he gets tired and hungry. So instead of him eating some rubbish and consuming a load of empty calories before dinner, I thought these tasty little balls would be perfect to keep him fuelled-up and feeling sharp for his drive home.
Here's the secret ingredient to making this healthy snack feel a bit treaty and indulgent - raw cacao powder. It makes it all chocolatey - but it's a great source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Raw cacao is the raw unprocessed form of chocolate. It has no additives, gluten, dairy or soya. It's a superfood and it tastes good!
Now my only problem is making enough - the kids love them too!
